Designed a replacement throat plate with a replaceable insert to achieve “zero clearance” for the now discontinued Delta 36-255L. Printed the base plate in Overture PLA Pro on a Bambu Lab X1C with a modifier (cube elongated to fit the length and width of the dovetail area of the base plate) to get a 100% infill in the area of the blade.
The insert is printed using ASA at 100% infill for more heat resistance. It's a bit longer than the base plate, just trim to fit snugly. Carefully plunge the saw using short burst on the first cut to avoid melting the ASA, after that enjoy tear free cuts!
