This a simple magnetic mount for a kleenex box or other tissue box to mount it under a shelf, under a desk, or against a metal wall.
Note
- Designed for 8mmx3mm (2.65mm actual height) magnets
- The internal dimensions are 230mm x 122mm x 95mm, designed to fit standard kleenex boxes with some extra space
- If you have spaghetti detection of some form, it tends not to like these large hex patterned models.
Printing Recommendations
- Can be printed entirely without supports with a layer height ½ your nozzle diameter or less.
- Possible problems with stringing if your filament is wet
- Recommend using a heat gun to remove strings
Assembly Recommendations
- Use a high strength glue to hold the magnets
- Use needle nose to push the magnets into place
- Align the magnets' polarity if you intend on attaching it to magnets rather than just a ferromagnetic surface
Model Adjustments
- I provided the fusion file, currently it isn't parametrized
- To modify the magnet width or number, just modify the sketch and the rectangular pattern
- To modify the magnet depth, just modify the corresponding extrude function
- If you plan on changing the magnet size/strength, ensure you have enough force
- Mass of the tissue box fully loaded as ~250g
- Max nessecary peak pull force to remove tissue ~80g
- Mass of holder model ~115g
- Mass of Each of my Magnets ~0.5g
- Pull Force of each my 8mmx2.65mm magnets ~150g eq
- Number of Magnets: 10
- Expected peak downwards force 600g eq
- Magnetic pull force ~1500g (good for 2x safety margin)
- I do plan on making a parametrized model for my next version
