I originally downloaded the Steampunk Lightswitch by 3D Printing World but obviously it wasn't made for UK Lightswitches. I made this to use this cheap lightswitch on Amazon.
I created a new lightswitch plate, using my base design, and modfied it to fit the Steampunk gear from the american version.
First, you need to put the shaft, washers, and stick onto the two gears, then glue or screw them onto the plate. Once you've done this, you can screw the switch module into the front plate making sure the handle isn't stuck on either side of the switch
Currently, this isn't finished, as the lever has a very small range of motion, and only operates in the middle position, hopefully if I get time I can get the lever to work properly and go all the way up and down, but it works just fine at the moment.
The lightplate has screw holes, since I don't trust glue, I used the smallest chipboard screws I had, but if you don't have any glue works just fine. This also needs updating at some point, since half of the screw holes don't have space for the screw head, but it's actually pretty stable for me with just the two screws per gear (on the inside holes).
