Created within FreeCAD, this tray grid was created so that I could store my ever-growing stash of baseball cards in a more organized way. It includes eight variables which can modify the design.

Variables:

Clearance - Determines the amount of extra space added with the width of the model. Consider making this variable about .1 mm to help the cards fit in.

Height - Determines the internal height of each tray. Height will measure exactly from the bottom inside the tray to the tray's highest tip. If you're printing this to make cards, I suggest that you set the Height to less than or equal to your card length.

Width - Determines how wide each tray will be. Width is added with Clearance to create WidthSum. The Width variable should be set equal to the card's own width.

Thickness - This variable will determine how thick each tray will be on every side.

GridQuantityX - Determines the amount of trays present on the x-axis. Setting it to one will result in one tray (or sequence of trays) being present along the x-axis.

GridQuantityY - Determines the amount of trays present on the y-axis. Setting it to one will result in one tray (or sequence of trays) being present along the y-axis. Increasing both GridQuantityX and GridQuantity Y will make a grid-like sequence of trays.

CardHolderLength - Determines how long each tray is. Increase this if you're willing to store more cards (or anything else you want to store with this) per tray.

Fillet -  Determines the fillet's radius at the bottom of each tray. Set it at around 0.001 to remove the fillet.

WidthSum shouldn't be changed. This variable only exists to add Clearance with Width so it can be used inside the built-in equations I've created.

Here are some important things to consider:

Be very careful with changing the variables. Values like zero, or negative values will most likely break the model. Additionally, when Height is set to a value that's below that of Thickness, the model breaks. Also, make sure to add “mm” or any other type of measurement after the values for the variables which require it.

This model uses the FreeCAD extension Lattice2, so make sure you have that installed!

The model is pretty simple, but I hope that you'll find some utility out of my design. Feel free to modify the file and its components any way you want.
