A quick and dirty mount for an Asus AC2900 router to fit behind your TV using the VESA mounting points.

You will need:

  • M3 x 30 mm screws - minimum 4 off
  • M6 x 25 mm screws - minimum 1 off

Customise:

The model has not been made easy to edit as I used the first rough draft I made. You may wish to change the VESA through hole diameter (currently 6mm for M6 screws) or the VESA counterbore depth.

Printing:

  • Suggest ABS or PLA, with 3 walls and 30% infill
  • Print the cradle with the counterbore facing upwards, and mirror it to print the other side
  • Your printer should be toleranced to allow M3 screws to tap directly into the printed parts

Assembly:

  • Slide the cradle onto the router from one side and attach the two centre pieces
  • Affix the assembly to the back of the TV using at least the top VESA mounting hole
  • Slide the other cradle side on and fix to the centre pieces
  • Add the M3 retention screws in the top of the cradle
