My trigger finger would always rub against the selector knob and it bothered me. It is very easy to remove. Just loosen the grub screw and pull it off. But then it left an ugly metal bit sticking out of the side of the gun. I made a cover to hide it. It also has an indicator so you can still visualize which fire mode you are in from your non-dominant side.
I am right-handed so I only replaced that side. It would probably work on the other side if you mirror the design.
This piece is press fit. It stays on very tightly and no longer needs the grub screw.
Only tested on an A2 variant.
Printed in PLA. I also tried out the fuzzy skin slicer settings but I don't feel it really adds much to this model.
In the MMU version there is a very tiny element and the slicer will prompt you to convert it from inches. DO NOT, they are correctly sized.
If you don't have an mmu, you could print the indent version and color it in with paint or a silver Sharpie.
Or
You could probably get a color print by doing a filament swap (manually add an M600 command to your output gcode) somewhere around here.
