Update (Aug 22, 2026)

After many years of use, I finally got around to fixing the only issue I've had with it!
I've created a 40mm knob and uploaded a new print profile with it.
After a few years of use the brackets loosened and 20mm was far to short for the knobs.
40mm is just right and prevents the roll from falling out.

Update (Jan 6, 2024)

After using this in the kitchen for a while I've found that rolls aren't staying in because of the 15mm mounting gap.
To resolve this problem for myself, I printed a second knob.
So x2 knobs are needed instead of x1 as originally intended.

A paper towel holder that you screw under the cabinet, or to the wall.

Custom Components (uploaded here):
- (2) 5x5 Multiboard Tile Bracket
- (2) 1x3 Wall Mounting Bracket - Small Thread Hole
- (2) 1x3 Full Coverage Nut - Small Thread Hole
- (2) 38mm Bumper - Push-Fit
- (2) 40mm Knob - Push-Fit Hole - Big Thread

Standard Components (from Multiboard Parts Library):
- (2) Multiboard Snap
- (6) 13mm T-Bolt - Flat Head - Small Thread
- (6) T-Bolt Cap - Flat Head - Small Thread
- (1) 25mm Pegboard Click Hook
- (1) 3 Multiholes - Push-fit Shelf

Assembly

  1. Snap the mounting bracket into the 5x5 Multiboard tile bracket on the interior side

  2. Place the full coverage nut over the exterior side

  3. Screw in the 3 small thread bolts

  4. Place the cover over the bolts

  5. Mount the brackets to the wall or cabinet using appropriate screws for your mounting location. The mounting width = (paper towel roll + 15mm), ~290mm

  6. Screw a knob into the tile on both sides of the holder.

  7. Push fit one of the bumpers into each knob.

  8. Place a Multiboard snap on the other tile.

  9. Push fit the other bumper to the snap.

Usage

  1. Unscrew the knob, stopping when the bumper hits the tile.

    1. The knob does not need to be removed.

  2. Insert your paper towel roll.

  3. Screw the knob back in.
