This is a ‘quick lift’ handle that installs on the upper stem of the Fluid Freeride Mosquito scooter. Intended use is to aid in quickly picking up the scooter from the stem to navigate stairs, curbs, gaps, etc, without needing to collapse the scooter down. It is a clamshell design that fits around the upper stem just below the telescopic section and clamps down on the handle by tightening 2 bolts.
Handle has a slot on the inside for using a thin piece of rubber strap to help the handle stay in place on the stem. I repurposed a piece of rubber from an old bike light. A dab of CA glue helps hold the rubber strap into the groove during installation. A deeper vertical slot is positioned to fit around the Mosquito hand brake line.
Print settings: 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 5 outer walls/top/bottom layers, 15% cubic infill. Printed in basic PLA on a Bambu Lab P1S. Each half can be printed without supports when positioned ‘upside down’.
Additional parts required:
- 2x 20mm M4 bolts
- 2x M4 nuts
- Optional: 15mmx1mm rubber strap
