This allows for non-destructive and reversible mounting of an August 4th Gen Wifi smart lock to a door. It is only compatible with the type of door handle found in the last image (unable to find a part number for this, sorry).
There are two pieces. The handle trim plate replaces the metal trim piece of the handle and sets everything to the correct height and location. The metal bracket that comes with the August Smart Lock for mounting then screws into the adapter plate, which is then screwed into the handle trim plate. The smart lock will then mount to the door with the quick release mechanism as originally designed.
