I printed on an Ender 3, using default settings except for 0.12mm layer height and matte PLA (for aesthetic reasons), 50% gyroid infill, and support material for overhangs >60deg.

The screen is flipped 180 degrees vs the default build, so you'll need to open “nextion-lcd.HMI” from GitHub (in lcd-hmi) in the Nextion Editor, click on “Device” in the toolbar and then select “270 Horizontal” as the orientation in the Display menu, alongside the device that matches your screen in Device menu. Then File>TFT Output, placing the file generated on the SD card and uploading to the screen as normal.

Once printed and support material removed I used a soldering iron to insert 4-off M2 thread inserts with an external size of 3.5mm diameter & 4mm length where the screen mounts to the housing. Careful not to insert too far otherwise you'll bulge the external face or go right through. I just kept checking if they were sub flush, and pushing a little further if not. I also found it slightly easier to insert a M2 screw into the insert and put the soldering iron on the end of that rather than risk touching the plastic and ruining my print and soldering iron (but you'll find your own method I'm sure).

On the Nextion screen I soldered the the 4 wires to the back of the connector with a short wire to an inline connector. I did this to keep the enclosure as slender as possible.

Sliding the screen into position (careful not to catch the ribbon cables), I secured the screen with 4 M2x4mm countersink screws into the inserts (I think 5mm long screws would be find also).

The cables come through one of the (now redundant) light holes, so no modification required on the Classic Pro - you will also need to remove the other LED lenses for the assembly to sit flat. Inserting the switches through the printed housing, and then through the casing of the Gaggia was more than enough to secure the assembly on my machine.

UPDATES:

7th Feb 24: The SD card holder on the Nextion clashes with the front face of the Gaggia on the original model uploaded. This was amended, and cutouts made for the LED lenses should you wish to leave (up to two of them) in place.
