Joby Gorillapod quick-release bag clip
When travelling, I use a fairly small messenger bag for my camera gear, and I needed a convenient, quick, and secure way to hang my travel tripod (Joby Gorillapod 3K) on the bag without taking up an internal compartment.
How it works:
This clip mimics the Gorillapod's quick-release plate, with a flat ring to hang it on the bag's straps. The ring has a diagonal slot that makes it possible to slide it over a flat strap or belt, but incredibly unlikely to come out by itself.
I have printed this design once in PLA+ with the settings below, and have been using it since mid 2022 on many flights, hikes, and other forms of travel, with no signs of wear & tear - so I am now confident enough in it's strength to publish the model.
My print configuration:
- Stock Ender 3 S1 printer
- eSun PLA+ Filament
- 0.4mm nozzle, 0.3 layer height
- 2x walls, 3x skin layers, 15% infill
- No support, no skirt
