A Stevenson screen or instrument shelter is a shelter or enclosure that protects meteorological instruments against precipitation and direct heat radiation from outside sources while still allowing air to circulate freely around them.

I have a mini one covering the sensor for my Acurite weather station. It was hanging on the hook that held my insect destroyer in summer, so I needed another plan. I drew this up in OnShape and printed it in Cool White ABS, which looks like it was painted. I printed it with honeycomb infill and also printed it with the flat base on the build plate and a few supports in the apparent places. The letters “WX” are abbreviations for weather, like Rx is for prescription.

If you use OnShape, my OnShape design is here: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/0e9f5093a88c2ef3612ec573/w/367c32f85e5604337a653ba7/e/8f35317122b57922a16badb5

I bought the Stevenson screen on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/AcuRite-06054M-Temperature-Humidity-Radiation/dp/B01M64ISDE/ref=asc_df_B01M64ISDE/?tag=googleshopc0c-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292986869657&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13047860956214019752&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9000095&hvtargid=pla-354161439732&psc=1&mcid=2b519d7fb53a3c10a50d92f2911b9915

But that was B3DP (Before 3D Printer) :-)

Now, there are a ton of DIY options.
