Drifts to fit and center MID (41.2mm OD) press-fit bottom bracket bearings
- 19mm ID install drift
- 22mm ID install drift*
- 24mm ID install drift*
- Bottom Bracket Centering Drift
- opposing centering drift
- **posted files are for use with m8 threaded press rod as received with AliExpress simple bearing press. Handles will work with the ~13mm OD hex nuts it comes with
Recommended print settings
- Filament: PETG or sturdier for continued use. For one-time use anything should be fine
- Infill: near solid will be safest, although you may get the most reliable scaling with slightly less. With the right infill pattern, you could probably get away with 80-50%
- Infill Pattern: cubic seems to be the most sturdy in all directions, triangle would probably be good as well
- Nozzle: 0.6mm
- Walls: ~4, maybe 5 - aiming for infill seam not to be aligned with inner edge of outer bearing race
- Supports: no
.*I haven't tested with 22 or 24mm ID bearings, but same tolerance applies.
Adjust parameters in bearing drift f3d file for use with different
- Bearing Inner diameters: BearingID
- Bearing Outer Diameters: BearingOD
- Bearing press rods: PressRod_Diameter
the same file could be used for the frame drift, but the posted stl did come from a different copy of the file to facilitate concurrent testing.
