Designed to seamlessly integrate into your workshop, the clamp has a 35mm hole on both ends to suit a standard shop vacuum hose end. If you choose not to use the clamp, then I have included an adaptor to convert from flexi hose directly to shop vac.
I have created several Pillar Drill clamp sizes, so hopefully one will fit.
Parts for Assembly
Affiliate Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. The product links below may be affiliate links.
2 x M6x35mm Countersink Bolts
2 x M6 Nuts
1 x PTFE lubricant (this helps assembly)
I would recommend printing with 8 Mid Link, plus a Start Link and End Link, to give maximum flexibility in the design. After printing, I would recommend lightly sanding the parts to remove any lumpy bits before assembly.
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Layer Height: 0.20mm
Infill: 25%
Orientation: Orientation is important, see images
Supports: Only required for Clamp A as pictured
Brim: Brim is recommended for Funnel Attachment, everything else is fine without
Funnel Attachments
There are two funnel attachment options for various purposes (see images). These should all be printed with the hose end to the bed. A 5mm brim is a good idea and the ‘Encapsulated Funnel Attachment’ will need support.
Important Note:
Some printers may print links looser than others. For this reason I would recommend doing a test print first, if you find the connection too loose it maybe worth looking at your print settings.
This was printed with PLA, though I would recommend printing this print PETG or increased durability.
I hope you find this model useful. If so we would love it, if you can give us a LIKE. |
