My friend recently took up crocheting and needed a better way to feed the yarn to him. I made this spool holder for his yarn. Generally he has been using the ombre blanket yarn, so I also designed a printed insert to fit that. You can also use leftover filament spools to rewind the yarn to use with this holder. This makes an excellent way to recycle used spools. I also found that this works great for my 250g rolls of filament that are on the smaller rolls.
There also magnets on the bottom. If he needed to add more weight to the base, he could easily add something magnetic to increase the weight. I also reinforced the base of the middle stick with a M5 screw to give it more strength. Both of these hardware modifications are optional.
