The designer of the original trigger lock explains it best: “Just my version of the Dyson V10 Trigger lock. Push hinge upwards till lock in place. To release, press trigger in and hinge should drop”.
Choongster's design is awesome, and I wanted to add to it. I modelled a mounting plate with screw holes that match the V10 perfectly. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the 2 screws, and use them to mount the trigger lock (I have done this to my vacuum, and it all holds together well; know that you are doing this to your vacuum at your own risk).
There is a print-in-place version and a 2-part print that is assembled using an M3 nut and 20mm M3 screw. Don't overtighten these, and use some threadlock to keep these together.
I think this might work with a V11 vacuum as well, but I don't have one to test with. If you do and this works, please let me know, and I'll update the page to reflect this.
Please post makes, comments, and remixes. Thanks
