A case to hold the block thread repair kit for head bolts on a BMW M52/M54. The kit shown comes from SpankRanch Garage. This kit built with high quality components, but noticeably more affordable than other commercial options.
This case holds the entire kit, including the aluminum plate, and 30 inserts (2 engines worth).
The case has a built in latch, and uses a piece of filament for a hinge pin. The pin may be a little bit of a tight fit, but can be worked in there with a little patience and some pliers. The snug fit prevents a sloppy hinge action, and allows the latch to work its best.
