This model is based on the excellent model from M4NU and also includes the mixes from Mhm5 and GuidoVermicelli.  See the Differences section for what I added in my mix.

Edit the month text in the OpenSCAD file.  When the resulting STL is imported into the Prusa 3MF model, it will put it at Z=0.  So I added a faux post which allows the Z height of the text to be positioned arbitrarily (i.e.  the post is at Z=0, and the text can easily be adjusted with respect to the post).   Use the subtractor ring to eliminate the existing model's month text.  That allowed me to them add my newly created month text.

See filaments.txt for which filaments I used in each 3MF file.  This uses my Prusa XL5, but the most simultaneous colors of any single part is 4 (the earth).

The photo shows the position on April 8, 2024 when the eclipse occurred over USA.  Observing this date is a good check that I followed M4NU's procedure on setting the various dials.  The date pointer is red.

The nameplate has editable text.  But it is also important to get the filament direction to be uniform.  So I didn't paint the text with the Prusa Paint tool.  I added a thin block inside of the nameplate (in the 3MF file) using Prusa Slicer and this will print with the text using a uniform filament direction.

I was extremely happy with the Polymaker PolyLite Silk Bronze PLA.  It looks like copper and I used it in several places.  It looks better in person than in the photos.
