We use this to hang backpacks, purses, umbrellas, …
No supports needed, orientation does not matter. I printed them in PETG with a 0.6 mm nozzle and 0.3 mm layer height, and 3 perimeters for some extra strength. PLA will work perfectly with similar settings.
