I have an electric bike made by me! and mounts a classic hub motor, as each of them usually needs a control unit... a classic one has minimum dimensions of 220x100x80 mm (in my case a MOSFET15)

plus obviously the space to house the various cables...

So I created this simple box with its lid (in two versions, ventilated or completely closed)

with 4 simple clamps it can be tied to any tube with a diameter of 50mm (as you can see in the photo, I mounted it on the vertical tube under the saddle of a classic dechatlon bike and it fits perfectly)

the cover can either be screwed on as I did with simple screws, or what is much better is to use threaded inserts and insert them by casting! (the slots on the box are 3mm holes)

I had to print the box vertically because I have a 220x220 plate
It's certainly easier to print horizontally
I recommend a decidedly heat-resistant material, as the control units usually heat up quite a lot during use (and this is also why I opted for the ventilated cover)
I used ASA which can resist up to 95 degrees, I've already been using it for a couple of months and it's not giving me any problems

Printing TIPS
I printed with a 30% honeycomb filling and 4 perimeters to make sure it is nice and resistant (however the walls are nice and thick)

I hope it can help you! as it is for me!
