A decorative cap for covering an exposed 4in x 4in wood post end on a fence, stairway, guide rail or other similar wooden post. This cap will protect the grain of the wood from weathering and provide a decorative closeout of the post that guards again wood splinters or poking hazards.
There are three versions available for download: Pyramid, trimmed Pyramid, and Pyramid with a Bar Holder. The “Pyramid” is a straightforward post cap for a freestanding 4x4 post. The “Trimmed” version is for applications when a 4x4 post is not free standing and placed beside a wall or a flat object. The trimming modification allows the cap to be placed on the post and mounted flush to the wall or object. A picture of a trimmed post cap example is provided. The “Bar Holder” is a design version that incorporates a bar on top of the post. A picture of an example application is provided.
PLA, PETG or any filament can be used. Designer has used PLA which last about 3 to 4 years in hot south Texas sun.
