Determine if your pens will fit in the case. Pigma Micron & Faber-Castell PITT artist pens are both compatible.

A swappable label system allows you to quickly organize your pens, though the model is also provided without this feature. You are encouraged to customize the graphic on the lid of the case, blank versions of the design are available.

Printing & Assembly

Recommended material is PLA. Print at a 0.2mm layer height, no supports. Print the labels at a 0.1mm layer height for best results.

The method used to print the lid graphic will vary depending on what you want to achieve. The case graphic shown above is downloadable as a 3MF, which you can load into PrusaSlicer as an example method. Depending on the amount of detail in your design, a slower first layer speed (10-20 mm/s) is advised.

After the print, the locking gears may be extremely stiff or immovable. Bending the parts of the lid surrounding the gears will help loosen them, and the gears can be removed entirely if this is not sufficient. Their rotation will become smoother through use.

The label inserts will slide into place, and a small Allen key can be used to remove them.
