If printed sideways, there is no need for support.
Since I need a really sturdy handle, I printed it with 4 top and bottom layers and 4 perimeters, using a 0.6mm nozzle on PETG.
I added a new model with higher clearance for the handle. The original model was not comfortable to carry, but it works fine as a door handle or for lighter objects.
