In Germany we say “Messerbank” to this small tool, that means “Knife Bench”. A good way to discribe how it works, this rest, for all your used cutlery, will protect your tablecloth for dirt.
I have used support on some places of the model, please see the attached picture from the PRUSA slicler.
Printed with wood filament it would look great.
