A clasp to close and open necklaces and bracelets quickly, great for those crafted with string. Very comfortable.

For all your crafting and tinkering needs. Perfect for friendship bracelets and cotton thread necklaces.

I got the idea from https://www.printables.com/model/636506-necklace-bracelet-clasp-with-and-without-magnets/comments/1881039 but found the rectangular design too uncomfortable for daily wear, so I created a similar one a hexagonal design for comfort. No sharp corners.

  1. From the outside, pull the string through the small hole and tie one or several knots, you can also add a small bead, before tying a knot. Cut off the loose strand hanging out.
  2. On the other end of the necklace or bracelet, tie one or several knots. Insert the knot into the big hole in the middle of the clasp and pull the thread (the part towards the middle of the bracelet or necklace) through the slit. Give it a little tug, so that the knot is wedged into the area behind the slit. Don't cut off too much of the loose end.
  3. For easy opening, pull on loose end of the bracelet to get the knot out from behind the slit.

The clasp is 1cm in length and roughly 5mm of diameter. The holes are 2mm in diameter fitting knots of up to 3mm.

For printing, I used PLA, a 0.25mm nozzle and a layer height of 0.07mm.
