I admit that its assembly is quite complicated, but once installed it will close the hole perfectly, given that it incorporates the gasket very well.
I recommend printing it with 100% infill and using support material and brim.
PLA should also be fine as a material, but I recommend PETG or ASA/ABS for a more durable print.
