Recently got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Started using a glucose monitor and realized I needed a place to put my used lancets and test strips. So I designed this simple two piece container that I can easily deposit and dispose of these items.
In particular, the drop slot for the lid is designed for Microlet lancets. The opening that drops into the container measures at 14.4mm. Which fits those lancets and strips flawlessly.
Do note that the lid for this container does not have any kind of fastening, resting on the edge of the bottom part of the container. Though it should not be too difficult to add some kind of magnet snap system or other such methods if needed.
For printing, I used a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon with the lid being printed with ELEGOO PLA+ Clear, and the container being printed in Bambu PLA Basic Orange. Both parts were printed with the standard profile in the Bambu Slicer. Lid was printed with tree supports, only on build plate, having the part oriented with the bottom touching the build plate. This turned out great, but milage may vary from different set ups.
