This is an enclosure for my external GPU.  I wanted to protect the GPU and clean up the look using a TH3PG3 GPU Dock.  I designed it around a Nvidia RTX 3090 Founders edition but it would likely work for many other GPUs.  The back lid has a block that is designed to hold a temperature switch that turns on the 120mm fan when the GPU gets above 40c.

Notes:

  • This model was intended to be printed on a Prusa XL or larger Printer.  I wanted the body of the case to be one piece.
  • I also added some rubber stick on feet to keep the case from sliding/scratching my desk.

Parts

  • 4 - 4mm screws for attaching the cover to the body
  • 4 - 4mm threaded inserts to go into the cover
  • 1 - 120mm fan
  • 4- 120mm case fan screws(I had these in my junk drawer but I think they are M5 self tapping ~10mm)
  • 3 -  WAGO connectors or similar wire connectors to connect the fan to the power supply
  • 4 - rubber stick on feet(optional)
  • Kapton tape or similar to hold the optional temperature sensor in place

Optional temperature switch that I wired inline with the fan and mounted in the lids slot.  Optionally you could just wire the 120mm fan directly to one of the power supply Molex connectors.
