Here is my version of the communications earpiece worn by Lt. Uhura on Star Trek. I estimated the size so the dimensions may be off but I feel like it looks close to screen captures. The tip that goes into the ear was made for appearance only and may not really be a good fit but it can be replaced with a softer material if you want to wear it.
Update September 24 2022 - Removed the underside recesses on the discs, separated the peg from the joint, and slightly widened the rod for strength. Now no supports are needed and the discs actually align much better.
If you are only making this as a display piece, you don't have to glue every disc together, just the bottom disc and top disc to hold them in place.
I used Ziro silk silver PLA and a generic clear PLA. For a neat metallic effect using silk PLA, set top and bottom surface infill pattern to Archimedean Chords or Concentric.
