This mount allows you to mount your Questar 3.5" 90mm to a Vixen compatible GoTo (or other Vixen compatible) mount. This allows you to securely mount your precious instrument in a securely fastened (use the 6 mounting screws to connect ot rear ring) ring mount.

If you use the 6 mounting bolts (from the Questar mount) to mount your instrument onto the rear ring you will not have to over tighten the bolts at the top of the rings (just snug them). The Questar should be properly secured.

Please Note: Always ensure you scope is securely fastened to your mount before using it with this model.

Printing Tips:

  • As PETG is a better choice for strenght and heat resistance, I strongly recommend using it for your filament.

Filament - PETG

Infill - 20-30% for is fine

Layer Height - .25-.30mm

Supports - Print the Dovetail upside down and make use to use supports (PETG is very susceptible to stringing) under the square mortis slot. Make sure to remove all debris in the mortis after printing as that will insure a good fit with your rings.

Parimeters - 5-7

Additional Parts - 2x M5x25mm Bolts, 2 M5 Nuts, 4x M4x15mm Bolts, 4x M4 nuts

Bed Adhesion - Use glue stick to protect your bed from the PETG

Rafts - None

Scaling - This model should not be scaled as this is specifically designed for the Questar. If you want ot use on another scope, I have included the STEP file for the front ring and you can modify it to your own needs.

Filament Change - None necessary

Post Printing Notes:

This is a pretty quick and easy print. Just make sure you use the correct settings for PETG in your slicer.

Happy Printing!
