I don't like to carry around dental floss and I don't “strangling” my fingers by wrapping it around them tightly so that I can pull it between my teeth. These floss picks are easy to use and they are both a tooth pick and floss, so I…
I really like the Nucleo-64 and Nucleo-144 boards. They have Cortex-M 32 bit processors on them, are supported by a wide variety of development environments (gcc, mbed, Etc.) and with an Arduino compatible set of connectors, many Arduino…
We got a Blue Yeti-Nano for video conferencing, gaming, Etc. It has great sound, avoids a lot of ambient noise and everyone appreciates the clear audio. It has exactly one “flaw” which is that is uses a micro USB cable to connect the…
Never use the wrong bolt again! 😀 I built my MK3S printer from a kit, and then upgraded it to the MK3S+, and there are a lot of different length M3 bolts used. Using the wrong length bolt will sometimes work, only to find out a couple of…

The Hackerbox 096 is a two meter transceiver. This kit is fun to build and teaches a lot about how easy it is to build a simple radio like this. The box comes with a bare PCB and parts, that are easily assembled but it does not have…

There always seems to be a lot of clutter on my desk, and I when I go to find my pen it can be under stuff or mixed in and hard to find. I realized that what I really needed was something to hold it up off the desk but in easy reach so…
This is an upgrade to the Panavise 209 vacuum base PV Junior vise. This vise is pretty convenient except that it has one problem, after a short while the base leaks, or the surface is not smooth enough and it won't hold with its suction…
Standoff posts for mounting printed circuit boards outside of cases. Usage I have one of the FTDI EVE F800B boards and I wanted to do some software for it but I don't have a case. These standoffs have a small pilot hole in them, I used a…
AdaFruit makes a handy Serial to USB adapter called the FTDI Friend . This lets you connect your laptop or computer to a digital level serial port on a Raspberry Pi or Beaglebone using the FTDI serial drivers. I use these when talking to…
I have some how ended up with several stainless steel tea infusers which didn't have any way to hold them over the cup. This design allows me to drop the infuser in, add some of my favorite tea, and then poor hot water into my cup for an…
This is a simple holding stand for the STM32L496 Disco board. It keeps it off the bench so things don't short out on the pins underneath.
One of the products I like is the Boogieboard "Jot" . They are reasonably inexpensive and I keep them where I want to jot down notes to myself or whatever. They have a couple of magnets on the back that kind of holds them to metal…
We use an Ambient Weather WS-802 indoor/outdoor thermometer when we are camping to monitor indoor and outdoor temperatures. The previous one we owned (a different model, same company) came with a small stand for the remote transmitter…
