I wanted to use the Burris FastFire4 with my FN-P90.
But with that FastFire on the picatinny-rail, the sight-line is quite far above the bore-axis.
So I wanted to use the HBindustries mount instead of the original picatinny.
Which lowers the sight line about 15mm.
Of course you'd loose the back-up sights, but a battery-change with the FastFire is simple and fast.
However the mount from HBindustries is available for a lot of different footprints, but not for doctor…
So I made an adapter that would allow to mount the FastFire with doctor-footprint onto the RMR-version of the optic-mount.
Printed with PC-CF and as thin as possible, I doubt there will be a problem with durability.
Threads for the doctor-mount are 5-40, in case someone wonders…
Do NOT use Loctite in Plastics!
Through its chemistry, Loctite dissolves plastics, doing the opposite you'd intend.
Instead use a small dab of CA-glue.
The adapter is designed to be screwed onto the mount with two socket-head-screws 5-40 x ½".
