Introduction:
Introducing PhoneMate! Following the success of BookMates, I decided to add a new design to the collection. This time, instead of holding your books, it holds your phone or tablet. I hope you enjoy!
Printing:
Some areas of the model will require supports. For these areas I recommend using tree supports to avoid as much as the surface of the print as much as possible. Most of them should be able to fit within the cut-out of the base and attach directly to the build plate. If not, and scars are left on the surface, a quick pass with a flame should restore the original colour (should you try this, make sure to do so safely!).
Design:
The design includes a stick figure model which I manipulated into position in Blender (source here), then built up the stand around it. Improvements to the design workflow over the one used in BookMates has also meant that the resolution of the stick figure is greatly improved!
