An actually pretty shelf

Hi! We fulfilled our dream of owning a sound system! And yet we're poor and live in a small apartment, so we can't put the speakers further away behind our sofa as it's suggested. Also, we wanted something pretty for our living room! So with inspiration from pinterest I designed this shelf that can be printed with Prusa MINI or BambuLab A1 mini

Meticulously thought out design. Easy mounting to the wall. Big holes for speakers power cable connectors to go through without any trouble.

I really like the wood PLA filaments. Unfortunately those lack desirable mechanical properties. Hence I designed this shelf with a base that can be printed with any ugly&sturdy plastic while the decorative covers can be printed with pretty&weak filaments! Yay! 

To put the speakers at the angle I added a pocket to align them symetricly, but here I also include a model without the said pocket in case you don't need one.

MOUNTING:
To make sure the shelf doesn't break at the mounting points while carrying heavy loads, I had to add much more meat. The screws have to point away 10mm from the wall and be at 10 cm center distance from one another. I also include a drawing with dimentions of the mounting holes with the pictures. 

Has been hanging like that for 6 months now with occasional cat climbing on top and it's doing great. Base is printed with ugly PCTG. Pretty parts printed with FiberWood PLA filaments.

Yes, we were too lazy to go, buy/make wooden shelves like normal people. Printing seemed easier.
