IKEA Parasoll door sensor case / fixation

The IKEA parasoll door- window sensor case.

I wanted a case that was screwable so i could be removed when i wanted to paint my windowframes/doors or when i wanted to change the AAA battery in the door sensor.

The design has multiple parts, a bottom that can be screwed and the top that can be slided into the bottom. ive made the cleareance on last part of the slider a bit smaller so it has a good and tight fit. 

The sensors are nicely snug fit into the case. If its to loose, adjust settings or add a rest piece of brim between the sensor and the print. 

The Ikea sensor has two pieces, a thick piece and a thin piece. based on these named i made the following models:

Sensor thin part:

• IKEA Parasoll Case - Base thin
• IKEA Parasoll Case - Case thin
• IKEA Parasoll Case - Case thin horizontal (print the thick base 2x  if you want to use these)
• IKEA Parasoll Case - Cap thin (optional to add the endcap)

Sensor thick part 

• IKEA Parasoll Case - Base thick
• IKEA Parasoll Case - Case thick
• IKEA Parasoll Case - Cap thick (optional to add the endcap)

Extra parts:

• IKEA Parasoll - Filler plate thick
• IKEA Parasoll - Filler plate thin

this is a 1mm thick filler plates that can be used to fill any difference in height between the surface of your door/window and the framing.

If you want an other difference, use the Z-scaling of your slicer to adjust it to the height you need.

Print settings:

i think you can print this without brim and supports. But i printed them with brim and support.

Most important thing is the seam position, set it to back, while the slider side is on the frontside. so there is no extra material in the sliding mechanism. 

The bases and the caps can be print flat on yout builtplate.
