On my remarkable 2 tablet the marker wasn't always accurate. Sometimes the lines appeared displaced in relation to the tip.
After some research, I found out that it is probably related to the magnetisation of the screen.
The effect was reproducible when I placed magnets on the tablet or electrically induced magnetic fields were nearby.
There are already several demagnetisers available online, but I couldn't find a suitable one for the magnets I had at hand that also worked for the screen.
The demagnetiser was designed for use with a cordless screwdriver, but to demagnetise the Remarkable 2 screen, it is usually sufficient to slide the tool over the screen from right to left in a circular motion by hand.
To avoid damaging the screen, attach a felt glide to the underside of the tool. As a small bonus, the screen is cleaned at the same time.
The magnets are embedded using a press-fit.
Important! Pay attention to the polarity of the magnets. The polarity seen from below should always be alternating. (See picture)
Filament used:
- Prusa Galaxy Black PLA
- Layer height: 0.15mm
- No supports
Magnets used:
- 5x5mm cylindrical magnets with 940g holding force

Important! Changing magnetic fields induce currents. Electronic circuits may not like induced currents at parts that were not intended. Use at your own risk.
The induced currents should be very small when using the demagnetizer by hand. I also used the tool for 4-5 months now and never had any problems.
Best practice would be not exposing the screen to magnetic fields in close proximity and you will have much less problems with the screen.
For example not placing your charging smartphone directly on top of the tablet.
Edit:
I added another model for 5x2 mm magnets, as well as one without holes.
I also updated the FreeCAD file to include a spreadsheet, making it easier to adjust parameters without having to modify the sketches directly.
