Beast Mini Blender Blade Guard

A few blade guard options for the Beast Mini Blender.  This lets you keep the blade attached to the motor after washing everything and let the blade dry out.  This also helps if you need to pack up everything for travel.

It comes in two “simple” versions (with and without hexagon holes on the side) if you want to use less filament and a “fancy” one that more closely mirrors the glass container styling that comes with the blender.

Printing

I use an open infill pattern to get an open top for letting the blade air dry.  This also lets folks choose the pattern they want and the size of the holes.

Supports should NOT be necessary in most cases.  The threads do have a 60 degree overhang, so if you're printing in ASA or something that can't handle overhangs more than 45 degrees, you might need to enable supports.

General settings:

• 0.4mm mozzle
  • Perimeters: 3
• 0.6mm nozzle
  • Perimeters: 2
• 0.20mm layer height
• Top infill pattern: Concentric

Simple Versions

• Infill: 20%
• Infill pattern: Honeycomb
• Top solid layers: 0
• Bottom solid layers: 0

Fancy Version

This one has a bit more complexity, but still not too difficult.  The easiest is to add a modifier to your model:

• Add modifier → Cylinder
  • Size: 80mm (X) x 80mm (Y) x 2.25mm (Z)
  • Make sure modifier is centered and against build plate
  • Apply these settings to the modifier:
    • Infill: 20%
    • Infill pattern: Honeycomb
    • Top solid layers: 0
    • Bottom solid layers: 0

Alternatively, if you use PrusaSlicer, you should be able to load the beast-mini-blade-guard-prusaslicer.3mf and it will have all the settings pre-configured for you.
