1/10th RC Trophy Truck

I really wanted to start this project just because I'm kinda cheap. I was looking to get an RC trophy truck, but all the options, like a UDR, a Kyosho Outlaw Rampage or any other RC trophy trucks are way too expensive. So I decided to build one myself. I'm still making it better and stronger the longer I have it, and whenever a part breaks. It's a really fun project, and i have been making it a bit easier to build, so this will be more available to anyone with a 3D printer and about 200$ on hand for parts. You can make it even cheaper if you go with a brushed system and don't use some external reservoir shocks. All the parts are 3d printed excluding the electronics, drive train and the hardware. Those i bought from AliExpress allowed me to keep the prices low. I built the model in Fusion 360 and you can access the whole truck as a .F3Z file while help you see how the trophy truck is constructed.

This RC trophy truck is only 2WD to make the project simpler and cheaper. The build process is pretty simple while looking at the file for a guide. But if you want a small, pretty bad one (might fix) i have one on Instructables. This Project is now mostly completed, with recent updates, there might be some small changes eventualy

Update Log

Trophy Truck Update V2 2-18-25

In this update, I modified the rear trailing arms to be stronger and mounted a bit higher for better shock clearance. The shock mount was made higher because of this and makes the rear suspension run a lot smoother while keeping a low CG. I also made the bulkhead stronger after breaking it in a crash.

Right now I'm making a new battery mount for the trophy truck so the battery won't get in the way of the top of the rear axle, this will be in the next update. And in the future, I'll redesign the whole rear end a bit

Trophy Truck Update V3 3-4-25

This update, the main chassis plate was upgraded with the suspension link mounts reinforced after it broke doing some jumps in the snow.
New updated photos will come soon, and some videos on the channel.

Trophy Truck Update V4 5-18-25

Now the trophy truck can be run with a body, there are optional pieces in the file so you can run one. The rear end has been rebuilt a bit for a better battery mount and more support for the 2 rear-mounted tires. All these parts are optional if you don't want to run it with a body. I will add some new updated photos soon when I get it running again after I messed up the transmission gears.

Next update might not come soon as I wait for the parts to come and I need to push the truck to its limits and break it so I can know what needs to be stronger. But so far it has reached a pretty solid state.

Trophy Truck Update V5 4-12-26

Its Been a very long bit in the making, but I fully rebuilt the roll cage to be better suited with a body. In the files, there are still the 2 versions, but V2 will now be the main one that will get future updates. The Truck is not at a point that with scale bashing and some unscale jumps (including a lot of crashes) Its very strong using CC3D 72D TPU and PETG. Nothing in the truck brakes easily anymore so this might be one of the last updates for this. There will be a few here and there, but V5 will probably be the last. Some New vids Coming Too!
