A very simple cap with a 0.5 inch inner diameter to cover the end of the rope on a cat tree and prevent it from fraying.
I attached it by first applying super glue to the interior of the cap, then sliding the end of the rope in. Due to the nature of 3D printing, the inner diameter will most likely be slightly smaller than 0.5 inches and require compressing the rope. This is a feature, not a bug, as it eliminates the need to hold the cap in place as the glue cures.
Did I mention it is a simple model? Sometimes simple works best, though.
Printed out of PETG with 0.2mm layer heights. So far it has lasted two months with two cats.
