This part is a holder for placing the “Krontaler” thermo-hygrometer inside an enclosure or a filament storage box. By the way, this ALDI-hygrometer can measure humidity from 20%, unlike some other models which start measuring only from 30%.
Since the update on 2025-11-26 there are three versions of the holder:
for 6mm magnets
for (up to) 20x50mm double-sided tape
for 10mm magnets
every of which can be used for fixing the thermo-hygrometer inside a filament box, vacuum-bag, printer enclosure and so on .. In both versions magnet slots are 3mm deep, but of course any thinner (and also thicker) magnets are usable as well. I am using 10x2mm now and it works very nice from my point of view.
Please note: some magnets differ in size, despite being sold as 10mm could actually be like 9.85mm in diameter. At the same time the pockets for the magnets are intentionally made a little bit larger - 10.2mm in diameter to match precisely sized magnets and deal with a Z-seam as well. If in your case the size of magnet pockets is a bit "too wide" - the magnets could also be additionally secured with tape or glue.
Please be aware, that some neodymium magnets can leave indentations on soft materials and even cut through them, that's why the magnets must be kept away from small children.
For those, who have little kids around, it is probably safer to use a double-sided tape version instead, as swallowing neodymium magnets can have deadly consequences.
Have a nice print!

This model was made with FreeCAD on a GNU/Linux system. My appreciation to all volunteer FOSS and hardware developers, who made it all possible. Thank you.
