I could not find an off-the-shelf drywall access cover large enough for a hole I cut in my ceiling for waterline access. Therefore, I designed this spring-loaded 2-piece cover. It is designed to fully conceal a 6" x 16" rectangular hole, but can fit on one as small as 6"x13.5". You could also use only one of the panels for an even smaller opening.

To make, you'll need to print:

1- LH_Panel

1- RH_Panel

2- Panel_Slide

I glued the 2 panels together using super glue and baking soda from the backside to ensure the super glue did not bleed through the show side. If you've never used this trick, you apply the super glue and immediately sprinkle it with baking soda to solidify it instantly.

The springs it is designed to use are ones I had available from burnt-out recessed lights. In hindsight I wish I would have added stops for the panel slides so that you don't need to hold the spring tension with both hands while installing. However, i figured that it was more accommodating to different hole opening widths this way, and is not that big of an inconvenience for only removing once or twice a year.

Use quality filament for a nicer look. I used a cheap white filament for the RH panel in my pictures and it is more translucent than the Hatchbox PLA on the left.
