Each piece has slots to help to aline the piece with the game boxes and choose the gap between games, 0/1/2mm.

↳ Slots for gap calibration

↳ The little piece used for the gap calibration, together with the slots in the middle of the piece, two pieces required
Red - Insert dowel rod when the piece is glued using the gap measuring tool.
Want to swap a game a don't want to mess with the glued pieces?
Green - Alternative higher slots
Blue - Alternative lower slots

↳ Slots for dowel rods, normal usage (red) and alternatives (green/blue)

- Put a game on the shelf
- Grab the first piece
- Add double-sided tape/sticky pads to the first piece

- Using the little piece on the bottom of the second piece, insert it on one of the three slots in the middle of the first piece
- Rest the second piece on the game
- Push the first piece into the shelf
- Do the same thing for the other side
- Assuming you started on the front, do the same thing on the back
