This is a cover design for the electronics box of the Prusa Mini or Mini+ loosely based on a design by @thefreewheeler (see here: Prusa MINI Z-Top | Electronics Box Lid), which attaches like the original Cover Plate.  It gives the electronics more room and guides the two cable bundles in a way that they dont interfere with the heatbed or the rear wall of the e-box like the original Prusa cabeling would.

I modeled this after the heatbed cable caught itself on the e-box while the bed was moving to the frontmost position which caused a tug of war between the heatbed-cablemount and the y-axis. The design by @thefreewheeler has been adapted in order to get rid of the cable-pinching-method also used by the original Prusa-design for fixing the extruder/printhead cable bundle in place, which always seemed a bit wonky to handle. Now the cable bundles are both slotted into pass-throughs from the inside of the new lid and can each be fixed properly and strain-relieved by two 2.5mm zipties in total. Since making that change the cable bundles are guided way better and dont interfere with the printer anymore, and access to the e-box is now possible without needing to unhook the cable bundles.

Please note that you'll need to unplug every cable that goes to the printhed, extruder and heatbed in order to mount the top base plate. This takes some patience, but is nessecary to be able to get rid of the old mounting method.

While making that change i also rerouted the cable going to the x-axis to now run through the outside t-slot of the extrusion instead of the rear slot, so that the filament going into the extruder doesn't interfere with the cable bundle going to the x-axis. For that there is also a little cutaway in the new topper where you can guide that cable out (see last image).

The new topper plate is mounted using two m3x10 hex-screws and two m3 hex nuts that are pushed into the print.

Printed using PETG with 0.2mm layer height. Supports only needed for the new lid at the reset screw mounting positions. If you need a STEP file or similar please message me.
