I was disappointed, when the original mounting brackets of my TREDANSEN blinds from IKEA left a tremendous gap to the wall, which let more line shine through than necessary.
Therefore i created an adapter bracket that can be slit into tredansen from the side (side cap on the right can be removed e.g. with a flathead screwdriver).
Then the top of the adapter receives the original mounting brackets, as intended.
The adapter bracket brings TREDANSEN a full 10mm closer to the wall.
Note: Removing the blinds from the original brackets will be less smooth than before, but is possible. This is due to the blinds sitting flush with the original bracket, which leaves less wiggle room.
Alternative Bracket (WIP):
Since due to the original bracket there is still a 5mm gap to the wall, i also started designing an alternative bracket that can be slit over regular metal angles.
to fix the bracket to the angle an m3 nut is supposed to be slit into the gap at the top and an m3 screw should be tightened to grab the metal.
update. v3 features more material around the set screw to avoid breakage (dont overtighten it!) and a rounded edge on the backside for easier placement.
