No screws or extra holes required. Simply cut a thin strip of double sided tape (the thick kind, I recommend Gorilla brand extra strength) and fit it into the channel on the back of the thumb rest. I know, it doesn't seem like it would be that secure, but I “rest” my thumb harder than anyone I know and it hasn't moved a mm in 5 months.
