Big Honking Dronepad & Helipad

This is a large dronepad/helipad which measures 62cm x 62cm and is printed in 31cm wide quarters, designed to resemble a real helipad. It has feet under each section to support it so it is not flat on the ground. It is especially useful for being able to land on uneven terrain safely.

This print requires the following for assembly:

• 12x M3 heat set inserts (e.g. Ruthex/CNC kitchen)

• 12x M3x16 screws and washers

There are some additional and currently unused mount points in the sides that will be used to add options such as mount points for tent pegs or screws and possibly lighting in the future.

Printing

As this is a large model you will need a printer with a large print bed, e.g. PrusaXL to print the model. Sadly the Bambu Lab H2D does not have a big enough bed to print the wipe tower.

You should print two of each plate. It is suggested to use PETG as a minimum for some weather tolerance, ASA is a more ideal choice but will definitely be prone to warping.

I suggest letting each plate cool slowly, evenly and fully before pulling it off to help prevent warping in any case.
