As the issues have come with the qidi plus 4 hotend and since open market hasnt offered any alternatives some great modders out there have starting to create adapters and alternatives, based on their ideas i wanted to contribute my own model based on Rhiz0Matics concept but using my own measurements to try and get a sturdier model that leaves bambu stock format hotends with the exact same length as the stock qidi plus 4 hotend.
It is important to note that for this mod to work you would need to crimp a molex mini connector (2p2 3025 molex).
For the temperature sensor qidi utilizes K type thermocouple. so you can choose one that can withstand up to 500C if so desired and for the heating element the standard qidi plus 4 hotend has is 11ohms so you should be looking for a heater of 50W, i theorize 80W should work as well but just to be safe the stock value is 50w.
the hotend fan will be a little up as the picture shows so it would be recommended to modify the mount if you are printing pla but for petg abs and pacf i have tested this with 0 issues on heatcreep. material of the adapter should be at least ABS, i would advise against any material that has flex to it like petg or some PAs that tend to creep under load.
