I don’t like the wooden front panel of this case — it doesn’t match my interior design or aesthetic preferences at all. That’s why I made a plastic one to replace the original.
The PEI coating on the 3D printer bed gives the surface an interesting texture, while for the side edges I used the ‘Fuzzy Skin’ feature in Orca (settings: 0.3mm/0.3mm). The panel is attached using 10 round magnets (5x2mm), with 5.1mm holes in the model. Make adjustments in the slicer or the model itself (the STEP file is easy to edit). It’s recommended to first print a test model of the panel section with the button and USB ports for calibration.
