This mount is exclusively for any Ikea Besta shelf without the back wall installed.
- Print in the following orientations
- PETG
- 15% gyroid infill
- 4 perimeters
- 0.15mm layer height
- Requires 2 per Besta shelf
- For better results add some support inside the screw area
Installation:
- Loosely screw the mount to a wall (for the 60cm Besta the holes should be 54cm apart)
- Hang Besta shelf and slide the mounts all the way to its outer walls
- Check if the fit towards the wall is without any wobble when pushed, otherwise add a little bit of tape to the top of the hook of the mount. The Besta shelves (and my walls) required about half a millimeter of tolerance.
- Tighten the screws
- Add screw cover and tighten with a coin or something similar (a screw driver will likely damage them if too tight)
- Lastly push the locking peg through the side of the mount into the Besta to avoid accidental lifting off the mount
