This is a New and Improved design of the Inland Filament spool Axle I previously made. MUCH STRONGER, and again: NO SUPPORTS, NO BRIMS. Simply set your strengths and print!

I have printed mine on the K1 Max K2 Plus and on the Ender 3 V3 with the same settings:

Supports: NO

Brim: NO

Layer Height: 0.2mm

Nozzle: 0.4mm

Speed: Defaults (300mm per sec)

If you like to have a REALLY GOOD Quality, I suggest a 0.1MM height. It comes out amazingly good.

The Tool only goes in 1 Way, so don't force it crooked, you will break something.

The Assembly of the axle is very easy.

Put the 608Bearing on the Bolt first

Then the Washer goes on top of the Bearing

The Tool goes into the head of the Bolt

Then you screw the bolt into each Male and Female ends of the Axle

NOTE: DO NOT make the bolt to tight in each axle. It will prevent the spool from free spinning while the filament is being pulled from your extruder. However, If your setup pulls the filament to fast and you need the spool to slow down in free rotation, than tighten the bolt a little more to get the desired free spin.

Put them in each side of your Spool, and screw them together. It should be stiff or snug going into the Spool opening. It should NOT flop around or be loose in the spools center.

Please share your prints and post pictures or suggestions on how it could be better.

Enjoy Printing!
